Match Report: Repton produced a battling performance against a strong, skillful Manchester Grammar School side and were unlucky to taste defeat. Playing uphill and into the wind in the first half, Repton fought hard in the face of sustained pressure and were able to create a couple of good chances. They went behind, however, as the defense failed to deal with a poorly struck cross that became a shot that crept in at the far post. The team responded quickly and were level five minutes later following good work by Tuffy who set up Martin. His shot from the edge of the area clipped the inside of the post and nestled in the back of the net. The second half saw Repton continue work hard but they struggled with the blustery conditions and were undone by a Manchester break with just a couple of minutes to play.
