Result: L 1-6

Match Report:

Repton made the worst possible start, gifting an opening goal to the Bolton striker after an innocuous through ball in the first minute. The boys then rallied, showing good spirit and having the better of the first half.  Lane was prominent in an unfamiliar midfield role and his good work in midfield and perfectly weighted pass gave Gough an opportunity to equalise that he accepted with some style. The second half, however,  was calamitous with the tone set by a penalty that Bolton converted gratefully. Congiu was enticed into a rash challenge after a long through ball had eluded our defenders and another penalty left us 1-3 down. The goals changed the tone of the game and we were forced to press forward and take risks. The gaps left at the back were exploited by the home side who added three further goals as the away side collapsed.  This was not the greatest day for the goalkeeper and several other players will be disappointed when they reflect on an error-strewn second-half performance.
