Match Report:
There were not many high points from a Repton supporter's viewpoint - but here goes! Shires bowled well early on and was unlucky not to get a couple of wickets. Ballantyne-Rowland's brilliant piece of fielding to hit one stump side-on to run out an Uppingham opener. Morris's sometimes wayward bowling deserved its wicket reward.
Ballantyne-Rowland's and Shires's opening partnership of 37 in 10.1 overs was the highlight of an otherwise abject batting performance, which saw all Repton's wickets fall in the next 8.3 overs. On a hot summer's day, having fielded in the heat for 30 overs, you should make the opposition work for their wickets, not give them away with a packet of Daz!
