Result: L 1-5
Match Report:
With a few new faces yet again this was a game that we approached with possibly too much confidence, and not yet used to defeat in Repton colours we began with a touch of complacency. This led to, fairly early on, the team being 2- 0 down. This was despite Repton actually dominating territory and possession. Unfortunately, despite committed play there was a lack of composure on the ball and we gave away possession far too readily. We began the second half well and Jack Clarke finished an excellent short-corner with a scoring strike. Showing strength of character everyone began to play hard but by pressing forward too much in their eagerness we were left exposed in defence, and Rugby, with some fast runners got in behind and scored more goals. It was a useful lesson about positional discipline and the score-line did not fairly reflect the difference between the teams.
