Match Report:
Repton conceded a sloppy goal within the first two minutes and, playing into the wind and up the hill, took a while to settle. We began to create chances and our equaliser from Ballantyne-Rowland was deserved. We continued to enjoy both a measure of control and good opportunities, but the final ball or finish was lacking. In the second half, Bede's increased the tempo and one or two of the Repton players can question their work-rate as Bede's passing and closing-down looked sharper. We conceded two similar goals as a result and were up against it with time running out. Ballantyne-Rowland converted one of his opportunities as Bede's tired and with ten minutes remaining we re-discovered our appetite for the game and began to look dangerous once again. That Goodacre, a centre-back, scored the equaliser came as something of a surprise, as did the manner in which he scored it: a beautifully struck effort from close to 30 yards that found the top corner.
