Match Report:
Cartlidge went early, bowled off his pads, but Goodacre and Hibell weathered the early storm and ran well between the wickets. Once the better bowlers had been rested they took heavy toll of the less experienced bowlers, and hence posted a formidable total for Murray Park to chase. Astin bowled their best batsman and Hibell accounted for the other opener, but in general they, and Bell, were too loose in giving away extras and pitching too short. It was not until Frost came on and encouraged one of their better batsman to hit a long hop to cover, that the breakthrough was made. After that, wickets fell at a rapid rate and Repton ran out comfortable winners. West Park or Chellaston are next in the draw.
