Result: Won 2 - 0

Match Report: This was a very pleasing performance from a very promising team. Bromsgrove, as usual, were well organised and included several good players. In fact had it not been for some outstanding goalkeeping from Byungmoo Lee we might have been a couple of goals behind at half time. This, however, would have been unfortunate as we also created several chances but were a little wasteful in front of goal. Up front, Robbie Astin and Jason Taft looked really lively and Marcus Wilcox offered great width and height when we were in possession of the ball. Even more pleasing was the performance of the back four who tackled much lower than they have previously and switched play with greater speed and accuracy. I thought we were terrific in the second half and were well worth our two short corners goals by Astin and James Shires. The boys are becoming a very skilful group of players who pass the ball well but most importantly they have learned the importance of hard work when the opposition gain possession. The Midland U14 zone round will be tough on Tuesday as we are in a hard group but we will be hard to beat if we play like this.   SJC
