Match Report: A goal from Taft after just four minutes, following good work down the left wing, proved a false dawn for Repton, who were comprehensively beaten by a very strong Bolton team. Having taken the lead early on, Repton then found themselves having to withstand considerable pressure and on fifteen minutes the visitors equalised. By half-time Bolton were three - one up and had come close on several occasions to increasing their lead. Repton continued to battle hard but could not prevent two further second half goals as the visitors looked increasingly comfortable. A late Repton flurry saw a couple of chances go close, but Bolton ran out deserved winners.
