Match Report: The first half was end-to-end with good attacking play and weak defending on both sides. Repton were fortunate to survive the first 5 minutes unscathed but responded well when we did go a goal behind. Cosford, Croft, Duggan and Fung formed a highly effective front line that carved out a number of chances. Cosford and Croft each scored before Duggan bagged the pick of the goals with a clever deflection after good work by Fung. Both sides re-organised defensively at half-time and the second period was more structured. Repton dominated possession with Trent looking dangerous on the break. It was Trent who took the lead from a short corner but Repton's attacking play continued to impress. We were, however, a little anxious and failed to show the calmness in front of goal that would have produced a number of goals. Ten or more good chances were squandered before excellent work by Duggan set up Fung for the equaliser. At the other end, Jopson made a great save and Swann put in some important challenges as Trent broke quickly. There were chances to win it late on, and the boys felt that they had let slip an opportunity to defeat a good side, but a draw was a fair result for an entertaining game played in an excellent spirit.
