Repton 3rd XI got their season off to an excellent start with a comfortable victory over Malvern. Put into bat by the visitors, Repton made 202 for 7 off their thirty overs. An opening partnership of 65 between Arnold and Golding laid the foundations for a good total, and Arnold went on to top score with 51. The visitors never really threatened to reach the target and three wickets from Keen, two from Boyce and two from Deans restricted Malvern to 104 for 8.
