Date: Saturday 12th September
Venue: Away, depart 11.40am
Team:
Result:Kimbolton 3-0 Repton
Match Report:
A delayed departure seemed to adversely affect our concentration for the early part of the game. A defensive error two minutes in allowed Kimbolten to establish an early lead. It took time for us to establish our shape but eventually we began to play a fluid passing game. However we gave our strikers few chances to equalise and never really tested their defences.
After changing ends we showed some good examples of football and continually improved our communication. However we still remained unable to penetrate due to numerous silly mistakes and losses of possession.
Later in the game fitness levels began to tell and Kimbolten scored a second goal. This was the final straw and we allowed our work rate to drop. The third goal was scored with only two minutes remaining on the clock.
We have much work to do in terms of moving the ball (and ourselves) into scoring positions and preventing the opposition from doing so.
