Match Report:

After a loose start that allowed NHS to get to 50 in quick time, the early introduction of Sanderson put the breaks on and despite the run rate being at over 5 for a long period, at 25 overs we had restricted them to 102-2. Wickets then fell at regualr intervals, including four for the team's youngest player, Kieron Fenton. These were in fact his first 1st XI wickets. A direct hit from Byas added a run out and NHS closed on 195-9.

The early loss of Graham meant Murrall and Ikin forged a good partnership before Cosford joined Ikin. In all honesty, these two should have finished game but both carelessly gave their wickets away with us still needing 30. Ikin passed 50 for the 6th time this season and has now scored nearly 500 runs in the longer format.

Fenton showed his potential in a stylish 15 before chopping to cover and Jacques was caught behind. When Byas was bowled, it was left to Sanderson and Hodson-Walker to see us home with just under 10 overs left.

A decent all round performance but we are going to have to be a lot tougher and more disciplined with our batting when we face a decent Trent College side next Saturday.
