Match Report:
This was another strong performance in what is quickly becoming a memorable first half of term. Once again, Repton started strongly from the first whistle creating a decent chance for Chilaka who shot into the side netting. It wasn't too long before the first goal was thumped into the Forest goal as Luke DUGGAN drifted infield before unleashing a 25 yard shot into the bottom corner. Repton continued to press with Byas working hard up-front and Fearn making strong runs down the right hand side. A second goal looked on the cards and it was Sam GRAHAM who duly obliged as he arrived late in the box to finish neatly at the far post. Our onlt scary moment in the first half saw Forest take full advantage of a bit of defensive indecision the send the ball towards an open goal, only for Josh Golding to arrive in the nick of time and clear with his head.

After half-time Forest had the better of the early exchanges, playing some neat football. However, strong defensive discipline meant that they struggled to fashion a chance and Repton soon managed to assert some control once again. Luke Duggan found himself on the left and curled a wonderful ball into Sam GRAHAM. There was still plenty to do in order to guide the chance home, but his technique was flawless as he deflected it perfectly into the roof of the net. Forest continued to try and play, but their switch to a more attacking formation left their defence a little exposed. Ndu Chilaka wriggled clear down the flank to lay a perfect ball into Sam GRAHAM, who drew the challenge with some exceptionally quick feet to end up flat on his face for a stonewall penalty. He promptly got to his feet and completed his hat-trick. The icing on the cake came as CHILAKA raced through, rounded the 'keeper and rolled the ball home to make it 5-0.

Make no mistake, Forest are a good footballing side and a fine footballing school. They saw plenty of the ball but our discipline and work rate was too much for them today. We created a fair few chances and managed to take a good proportion of them. We mustn't lose focus or get carried away with our relative successes so far this term. There are many more matches to contest and tough battles lie ahead in later rounds. That said, if we can match the levels of energy and desire we showed today we should give any school on the circuit a pretty tough game.
