Careers - Beyond the Arch

Getting Ahead

For many pupils, thinking about a career while still at school may seem a little premature and for some it may also seem incredibly daunting! The main role of the Careers Department at Repton is to provide an inspiring and exciting framework, in which pupils can think about their future and plan a career path to suit their individual strengths and interests.

The Careers Room is very accessible to all pupils with its central situation in the Old Priory and contains many resources on university entrance, gap years, university scholarships and work experience. As Repton is a member of ISCO (Independent Schools Careers Organisation), pupils are also free to make use of their careers experience course, resources and training, which can provide great insight and valuable experience.

In the area of Careers Development we are also particularly fortunate to enjoy the support of many parents and Old Reptonians, who provide current pupils with access to stimulating work experience environments and a network of contacts throughout the UK and across the globe. Many parents and ORs also visit the School and provide insight and motivation to pupils with their informative talks and careers presentations.
