Dressed in their own special badminton kit (including tights and hats), The Abbey badminton team came close to pulling off a great win in the House tournament on Sunday.
1st pair, Freya Charnley (L6) and Abby Smale (U6) won all of their matches apart from against Garden’s 1st pair in the Final, which meant they had plenty of opportunities to show off, with their awesome victory dance!
2nd Pair, Cassie Thorpe (L6) and Harriet Welch (L6) won two of their matches and featured a spectacular hitting technique from Cassie.
3rd Pair, Nodira Ashurova (A Block) and Kate Benn (A Block) won matches against each of the other Houses. A particularly impressive performance was their 21-6 win over the Garden 2nd Pair.
During a busy Term, it was great to see girls giving up their precious Sunday afternoon to represent the House with such great spirit and humour.
