Another show of exceptional House spirit to retain the relay cup!

Another show of exceptional House spirit to retain the relay cup!

The Kropacsy relays is always a greatly anticipated event primarily because it is held in memory of an extremely talented boy who once attended Repton and also because it is a chance for the house to come together and show their true house spirit whilst watching the relays unfurl. The conditions this year were perfect for the relays with the sun shining and the grass fresh. The relays involved many of the members of the house and each was able to play their part in ensuring that the cup was safely returned to The Mitre which has been its home for the past few years! The relays were important in revealing some of the ‘Usain Bolt’s’ of the house notably Amelia Etherington who on a number of occasions, flew past the other runners and Hannah Barker was also exceptional in her efforts as team captain. Nevertheless, those who were not involved in the relays still exhibited their true spirit on the sideline and supported all those who were involved in what became a somewhat gruelling competition given the small divide which separated both Mitre and Garden. In the end it was Mitre that was victorious winning by merely two points and accordingly Mrs Parish was equipped with the camera to take several pictures of all the girls surrounding the new, gleaming trophy.
