The garden was filled with laughter and screams this afternoon as the whole House descended for the annual Easter egg hunt. With a wonderful sunny afternoon, the conditions could not have been more perfect and the girls ran around the garden searching for eggs and chocolate Easter bunnies. The winners have to be Charlotte Graham 5M and Amelia Etherington U6M who both came away with 10 eggs in their collection! It was wonderful to see the girls enjoying the visit from the Easter bunny (AKA Mr Parish) and some hard-core hunters stayed out in the garden for well over half an hour searching for any missed eggs. A sweep by the Easter bunny at the end of the hunt saw just one of over 200 eggs had been missed! Mitre girls certainly know how to search out their chocolate!
This was the perfect event with which to end the first few weeks of the Summer term before the girls go on their Easter break over the weekend. We look forward to welcoming boarders back for 8pm on Tuesday 26th and do so hope you all have a lovely Easter together.
