During the summer Lower Sixth former, Angus Halstead (N), enjoyed a unique learning experience at Plymouth University. He was part of a group of students, aged 15 to 17, who spent four days discovering what is involved in the creation and maintenance of many different types of ships including aircraft carriers, yachts, submarines and commercial ships.
Run by The Smallpeice Trust the course offers the students an insight in career opportunities and training routes in Naval Architecture whilst also gaining experience of important life skills such as teamwork, communication, problem solving and time management.
