This year's Sale of Work dinner for the parents and friends of Latham House was held on Saturday 27th November. The Lower Sixth did a wonderful job hosting and entertaining the 40 guests, and over £1200 was raised for charity. The evening began with a champagne reception before moving into the dining-hall which had been transformed for the event. Mr Boyle then won the first competition of the evening, a heads-or-tails game, which brought him a bottle of champagne and box of chocolates. Between the courses of wonderful food specially prepared by our legend of a chef, Lee, various races were broadcast on a giant screen as parents (and staff!) quickly showed their fondnesss for a flutter! Mr Noakes seemed to be the biggest winner of the evening, but it hardly mattered as everyone present gave so generously. A wonderful night was had by all and thanks should go specifically to the Lower Sixth for all their hard work, to Matron Lisa for ensuring the dining-hall was decorated beautifully, and to Lee for producing a banquet fit for a king. See you all next year!
