Following Freya Charnley's extended trip to Argentina and research conducted there her final piece of work for her A Level Art is in the form of a performance for which she has transformed the Art School's window gallery into a 1970s Argentinean government office. Today she is taking on the imaginary persona of the secretary who was the keeper of the files on 'The Disappeared', the many thousands of left wing activists who became the untraced dead of the 'dirty war'. For all of Repton to see, this young Argentinean clerical worker is doing her job as ordered, putting together the files and daydreaming about the destiny of these fated individuals. Then tomorrow, Freya will commandeer the office and proceed to disappear every detail of the installation, again, very much on show.
