A fantastc night was enjoyed in The Abbey as the girls celebrated winning The House Unison competition. Going on stage to open the event, the girls' performance of Accidentally in Love was described as 'polished' and set a high standard for the competition.
The girls looked very sophisticated in black outfits, countered by some Upper 6th girls dressed as characetrs from the film Shrek. In fact Amie King was 'Shrek the Conductor'!
The girls were excited to see a video recording of their perfomance on a big screen back at The Abbey after the competition. They celebrated with energetic, singing and dancing to loud music at the party afterwards.
Massive thanks from The Abbey go to Mr Drinkwater, who helped the girls rehearse; and of course to Amie who was the drill-sergeant / conductor and Flora Kay who fought hard to ensure The Abbey could perform the song.
Last night's win continues a cherished tradition of success in The Unison made all the more intense by a 'blip' last year when The Abbey narrowly missed out on the 1st prize. It has been wonderful to see the girls organising themselves and coming together with such togetherness and determination.
