The Lent Term got off to a fantastic start on the first Thursday when news filtered through that Deputy Head of House, Alex Cole, had been offered a place at Downing College, Cambridge, to read medicine in October, 2012. Alex, who joined the Sixth Form from Bishop Vesey School, has been focused and determined in his application and fully deserves his offer of a place in what has been a fiercely competitive and keenly fought process. Everyone at The Cross is delighted for Alex: we are tremendously proud of his fine achievement.
