Repton’s Chamber Choir and Junior Singers will have the opportunity to join forces with the British vocal ensemble VOCES8 on Wednesday when they will participate in a masterclass with the group before performing a concert in the Beldam Hall.
VOCES8 are established as one of the world's most versatile and best-loved singing groups. They have toured extensively throughout Europe, North America and Asia and the ensemble explores a rich and diverse collection of choral music inspired by dance.
The programme for the evening is to include Britten’s Choral Dances, Stanford’s Beati Quorum via and arrangements of folk songs including contemporary music by Justin Beiber and Duke Ellington.
Repton School's Director of Music, Mr Oliver Walker commented, "We are hugely excited to welcome the outstanding choir Voces8 to Repton as part of our Concert Series this Wednesday. They will work with our Junior Singers and Chamber Choir during afternoon masterclasses, and then perform an exciting programme in the evening concert alongside our own Chamber Choir."
The concert takes place at 7.45 pm on Wednesday 20th September and tickets can be purchased through emailing email@example.com
