The Strife of Riley charity jazz concert on Sunday evening was a roaring success, raising over £1,200 for Education in Ghana and Jessie’s Fund-Music Therapy.
Initially, the group wanted to perform a concert at Repton School to gain some experience as a band, but it later turned into a charity event so that they could take something away from such a great opportunity.
The band, which plays mainly jazz with a hint of swing, formed in autumn 2015 and has six members, aged between 14 and 30 years old.
Josh Riley - Saxophone (Associate of Trinity College London- ATCL Jazz Diploma). Josh is an Old Reptonian
Sam Riley - Vocals (Grade 8 singing & National Youth Choir) Lower Sixth, Repton School
Joe Riley - Drums/ percussion- B Block, Repton School
Jake Bott - Bass Guitar
Henry Blencowe – Keyboard- O Block, Repton School
