On a sun blessed Wednesday afternoon, thirteen members of the Lower Sixth Army section set about the afternoon’s training programme of working through four command tasks. Whilst the ideal result would be that the command tasks were solved, it is more important to identify the structure in which both leaders and team members work through the task at hand.
This would see all phases of planning, briefing, controlling, supporting, informing and evaluating/re-evaluating as the team worked through problems.
It was encouraging to hear reports that the tasks were solved in a manner that employed most, if not all, of the above command functions.
