Wing Commander Duncan Stubbs visited Repton School today to give a Concert Band workshop to both Repton and Foremarke Hall musicians.
Recently retired as the RAF’s Director of Music, Duncan Stubbs joined the Royal Air Force in 1984 and was promoted to the rank of Wing Commander in 2009. He had the responsibility of providing all the musical support to the RAF, representing the RAF on the world stage as Music Services and was a key player in PR and Media messaging on behalf of the RAF.
Repton’s Director of Music, Mr Oliver Walker commented: ‘It was a huge privilege to welcome Wing Commander Stubbs to Repton to work with the pupils from our Concert Band.
I am delighted that he was also joined by musicians from Foremarke who have also been able to benefit from his expertise. Having such a high profile military musician join us for an afternoon was an enlightening experience for Repton musicians.’
