Bronze for Bekah at the European Champion Clubs Cup

Congratulations to Bekah Walton (U6F) who won a bronze medal in the U20 600g women’s javelin at the European Champion Clubs Cup last weekend with a throw of 43.12m.

The European Champion Clubs Cup is an annual athletics competition between the European athletics clubs that are the reigning champions at national level. Bekah travelled to Brno, Czech Republic, for the tournament where the British team competed against seven other European countries including Italy and Spain.

Bekah is currently working with The Derbyshire Institute of Sport, a programme inspired by the London Olympic Games launched in 2012 as Derbyshire’s legacy programme. Their aim is to identify and select the best athletes who have the potential to be World Class.
