Repton welcomes the chamber music group Konstellation on Wednesday 1 November for the latest performance in the Concert Series. The performance will take place in the Beldam Hall at 7.45 pm.
Konstellation was founded by pianist Libby Burgess in 2013 as a means of exploring the intersection of song and chamber music. Drawing together her expertise in song and in working with instrumentalists, Libby constructs programmes where instrumental soundworlds constrast and complement. She also brings with her the creme of her colleagues to perform alongside including Aoife Miskelly (soprano), Jamie Campbell (violin) and Cara Berridge (cello).
Konstellation will present a broad programme of Romantic repertoire which includes Clara Schumann’s spectacular Piano Trio in G minor, Op. 17, as well as works by Brahms and Robert Schumann.
Before the main event, Reptonians and visitors alike will enjoy a pre-concert talk on Clara Schumann’s Trio, given by Repton School’s Head of Academic Music, Dr Peter Siepmann.
This event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
