Please be ready on the courts at 1.50 pm. Make sure that you are not wearing any jewellery and that you have a water bottle. No Hoodies! Skins may only be worn if they are navy blue. Captain + 1 to stay for team tea please

Match Report:

The girls were well prepared for their match against our local (but friendly) rivals, Trent, despite the difficulties with training that the recent arctic weather seems to provide!

The girls quickly gelled together and began to communicate to hold back the oppositions attacking line. Some excellent interceptions and defending strategies were seen from Welch (WD) and Gadsby (GK).

The 1st quarter saw the girls score, but not enough to keep up with Trent's shooters. Kumar (GS) and Haynes (GA) kept plugging away however and eventually and gradually over the following quarters managed to catch up with the score. Confident passing from all girls, with fast decision making from the likes of Barker (C) and Mistry (W) ensured we drew level in the last minutes of the last quarter. Unbelievably, Trent managed to sneak in a last goal in the dying seconds of the game. A result difficult to accept considering Repton's hard work and clawing their way back. None the less the girls took the defeat with grace and the attitude of "better luck next time". An attitude that will stand in an already solid and effective team's stead for the coming weeks.
