Match Report:
It is not often that games are as close as this one, nor how much they reflect the previous week's efforts and how much the team is developing. We knew the opposition were going to be tough to beat but Repton got off to a great start, immediately edging ahead with some clean, fast passes from the centre third straight into the D.
Crucially, Oundle were hot on their heels all the way through. Repton remained ahead and worked fantastically as a team, sorting out marking issues and incorporating set plays wherever needed to adapt and match Oundle's game.
You would be hard pushed to describe the final quarter as anything but nail biting, no sooner had Oundle equalised, Repton would edge in front once again. In a result echoing the match of the week before, the last 30 seconds went against the girls as Oundle scored the winning net. I must however congratulate the girls on their excellent attitude and skilful Netball; H Rayfield coped wonderfully as GD (her new bib position I think!), and V Mistry (WA) intercepted the ball cleanly and constantly created chances for the shooters. A well played match, full of excitement with the girls evidently enjoying the game, despite the result.
Well done!
