Match Report:

A rather dull day saw the clash between Repton V Worksop 2nd VII’s. The Repton team quickly gained composure and continuity despite losing a player to the 1st VII in the warm up session. The attacking midfield players soon created chances for the shooters and we gained a clear advantage in the 1st quarter. This was increased in the second session as we steadied into a rather pedestrian rhythm. Previous practices where we had worked on interception, marking and defending played a key part in the match as we made it hard for the opposition to find passes within the 3 seconds allowed. The final half saw some tidy play from both sides although we were never really likely to lose the advantage. Overall this was a friendly and well mannered game which was enjoyed by players, umpires and supporters.
