2nd VII v Oundle

Date: Saturday 23rd January

Venue: HOME: PLEASE NOTE IT IS A 2.00PM start

Please be ready on the courts at 1.45pm. Make sure that you are not wearing any jewellery and that you have a water bottle. No Hoodies! Skins may only be worn if they are navy blue. Captain + 1 to greet the opposition on arrival and then stay for team tea afterwards please (although they are dashing off so this should be quick!)

Match Report:

This proved to be the best match of the season so far. It was keenly contested from the first whistle and it was obvious that it was going to be quite a physically tough game. The midfield players were quick and agile around the court and were able to make some fine interceptions throughout the match.  Arabella Butters played a solid game as Goal attack, keeping her opponent at bay most of the time. Harriet Hunt, although shooting well found her opposition to be quite ‘pushy’ and found the shooting difficult to convert. In defence Florence Stewart Sandermann played a superb match , flying across the court and collecting any loose balls. The third quarter saw the team really attack the opposition and by the final quarter we were unfortunate to lose by just two goals, well done to all.
