Match Report: This was a lovely match not just to watch, but to umpire too. It is always a closely contested game with Worksop but most importantly, it is always a fair game and today was no exception with regard to good, clean and tidy netball! We made a good start winning the first quarter 14 goals to 3. S Parkin was on fire in the shooting circle and rarely missed a shot, but R Lawrence who stepped up to GS (rather impressive when one considers she normally plays at the other end at GK!) played beautifully, and also managed to score some great goals as her confidence started to grow. We decided to try a few different combinations in the second quarter and by half time the score was 24 goals to 11. We did have moments when we got caught out in stationary positions and little movement was taking place off the ball, but that said we also had some patterns of play that looked fantastic. Admittedly we were missing Smale (defence) and Horn (attack) and so found some difficulty in getting into a rhythm at times but overall the girls played a great game no matter what position they were playing in. They managed to hold on to their lead and concluded the match at 40 goals to 22
