Match Report:

We were all rather excited to play this match as Thursday’s triumph had left us all feeling positive and confident. With luck on our side, we won the toss and were at the start of a very tough match. With Miss Oborn away, we had Mrs Jenkinson as coach and umpire and after a team talk we were raring to go. The match started and we realised very quickly that if we wanted to win - we had to up our game. The first quarter was close and Oundle managed to snatch a few of our balls, putting them into the lead by a fraction. However we persevered and had a cracking second quarter, defeating any boisterousness that went on. Becky L played a superb match keeping her opponent right by her side. At three quarter time, we were up by one goal, the score being 17-16 to us, meaning that the result could swing either way; however our positive teamwork and determination made us the better team, coming out on top to win 25- 17. A particular mention must go to Mrs Jenkinson for her incredible team talks and coaching throughout the match, and for her fair umpiring; we are certainly lucky to have you. Well played girls, this certainly was an insight into what we can achieve next weekend. S Parkin (capt)
